The bomb brews for the barrel championship

We were wet, damp, brewin' and chillin' all at this year's Keystone Barrel Championship brew day. This year's BOMB Barrel crew is Rich Sparano, Kevin Harkness, Mike Duprez, Adam Ritter, Alex Crowe and Dave Bill. Last year's BOMB Barrel Team placed 2nd in what turned out to be stiff competition, but year we are back and ready to compete for the top prize.

The event is comprised of homebrew clubs from around the area. Teams must brew their beer on site and then age it in a Dad's Hat Rye Whiskey barrel provided to the clubs by Keystone Homebrew Supply. Each team then brings a keg of their barrel aged beer to Keystone for the main event the following year. The beer is evaluated by a panel of celebrity judges, who crown the winner of the competition.
